The Banana Institute of Science and Technology (BANISTECH) is the world’s first dedicated institute focused exclusively on unlocking the full potential of banana and plantain through world-class education, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
We believe these crops are not just staples; they are the key to driving sustainable economic growth, industrialization, and food security across Africa and beyond.
BANISTECH was established to formalize and transform decades of hands-on agricultural practice and product innovation into a comprehensive learning platform. Our institute grew directly out of the practical expertise developed by Awesome God Agro Allied Industries Ltd (registered 2018). Since our inception, we have built practical mastery in every aspect of the value chain, including advanced propagation, soil and crop inputs, farm management, and pioneering value-added product development.
BANISTECH is the culmination of this field experience, offering students a curriculum grounded in real-world success.
